HARTS Mission:
Through the presentation and promotion of art projects and theoretical knowledge resulting from the work of HARTS members in Bosnia and Herzegovina and around the world, this division aims to contribute to the development of interdisciplinary research that involves the interweaving of art and other humanistic disciplines.
In accordance with the basic postulate of our mission, we are open to all kinds of interactions between art, philosophy, sociology, anthropology, religion and all other humanistic disciplines that, directly or indirectly, have man and his primordial need for creation as the object of their research. We are open to cooperation with all artists and art theoreticians as well as cultural and academic institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the countries of the region and on the international level, who, as actors of cultural events, are ready to share experience through interdisciplinary cooperation and exchange. As members, we accept artists and humanists who support these principles and engage and empathetically create a vision of an emancipated society, outside of national-geographic restrictions. We believe that such a society, through art and humanism, broadly and self-critically expands awareness and understanding of oneself and gives expression the right to make the everyday life of a modern being more aware, nobler and freer.
Within the framework of activities such as exhibitions, music, film and theater events, publications, conferences, discussions, etc., BHAAAS HARTS devotes itself to the study and practice of contemporary creativity, and its traditional, technological and hybrid forms that imply production and intellectual preoccupations. . By establishing bridges between theoretical and artistic projects, different disciplines and creators who were formed within the framework of Bosnian-Herzegovinian cultural and linguistic heritage but also outside the country, BHAAAS Art & Humanities contributes to the understanding of creativity as a specific form of advancing knowledge.
The mission of our members includes participation in the formation of new generations of creators as well as new educational programs. This work follows trends and a wider range of issues in humanistic disciplines and art, reflective and expressive experiences, as well as knowledge that is of inestimable importance for the formation of the treasury of spiritual, material and cultural wealth and the maintenance of the identity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
