Composer and BHAAAS Arts Chair Svjetlana Bukvich is one of the recipients of the 2021 New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) Grant Award created in partnership with the NYC-based woodwind ensemble Sylvan Winds. Ms. Bukvich will be composing a piece for wind quintet and electronic sound to be premiered in 2022, and featured on the ensemble's upcoming CD release. The award is part of Governor Hochul's $45 million critical funding effort to propel the recovery of the nonprofit arts and culture sector in NY.
