Web Medical Archives (WMA)

Web Medical Archives (WMA) is a project of the Medical Department of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS).

It was created as a platform dedicated to education, collaboration, and the exchange of knowledge in the field of medicine and healthcare among professionals from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region, and abroad.

The platform initially began its work on the website https://webarchives-bhaaas.org/medicine/ and aims to grow into a central educational and informational hub for all BHAAAS departments in the future.

One of the core features of WMA is the comprehensive archive of publications related to the COVID-19 pandemic, originally shared within a Viber group of more than 6,000 healthcare professionals between 2020 and 2023.

This archive provides valuable access to verified materials and expert contributions from the global medical community.

In addition to the available publications, WMA will soon offer live and recorded lectures across various medical disciplines, broadcasted through the BHAAAS YouTube channel.

Web Medical Archives is the result of the dedicated work of volunteers, students, and young doctors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, including Emir Begagić, Dženeta Bradarić, and Selma Terzić, under the mentorship of Dr. Emir Festić and Dr. Nina Jovanović. Dr. Adnan Begović and Dr. Amer Smajkić also contributed to the project’s development.

With the support of volunteers and constructive feedback from visitors, WMA strives to become the leading online resource for high-quality, reliable, and accessible medical knowledge for healthcare professionals in the region.
