What is it: This two-day event serves as a platform for young biology students to expand their scientific knowledge, practice presentation skills, network with peers, and have fun. The conference will feature student presentations (5 minutes each) on diverse biological topics, with a focus on contemporary themes that reflect current challenges in science and society, encouraging critical thinking and scientific curiosity.
Student presentations will be evaluated by a jury of at least three experts. At the end of the conference, the three best student presenters will be awarded, promoting excellence, innovation, and academic competitiveness among young researchers.
A special highlight of the symposium will be two online guest lectures delivered by distinguished experts. Sebastian Muller, a senior scientist at the prestigious Marie Curie Cancer Institute in Paris, will talk about his path a scientists, as well as present his latest research. Almir Karabegović, professor of information systems at the University of Sarajevo, will focus on artificial intelligence and its wide-ranging applications, including biology and medicine. Together, these speakers will offer participants valuable insights into current scientific trends and research approaches. Interactive discussion sessions will provide students with the opportunity to engage directly with the lecturers, ask questions, and exchange ideas.
There will also be a surprise entertainment program.
