The special event "AI Across Disciplines", held as part of the 17th Day of BHAAAS, brought together experts, researchers, representatives of the academic community and the technological sector with the aim of discussing the development, application and challenges of artificial intelligence.
AI Across Disciplines special two-day program brought an introductory lecture on the reality, potential and dangers of AI, as well as panels on the impact of AI on society, education, research, economy, medicine and art. During the program break, BH Futures Foundation had its own program, which included a session on the concrete application of AI and the presentation of prizes for the most successful three-minute presentations of research papers.
The lectures and panel discussions fully met the expectations of panel participants and visitors. The conversations touched on the most important topics in each of the areas of AI application, including the potential of AI for increasing efficiency in each of the aforementioned sectors of society, the possibility of its abuse, the reality of AI application in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the obstacles that must be overcome in order for our society to use the advantages of AI in the best possible way.
Through lectures, panel discussions and practical examples, the impact of AI on society, education, science, economy and innovation was discussed. Among others, Mirsad Hadžikadić, Namik Hrle, Seid Korić, Vedada Smailagić, Elmir Babović, Sead Delalić, Aida Branković, Migdath Hodžić, Tarik Hubana, Vladimir Mijić, Ned Lomigora and representatives of BiH companies and organizations took part in the program.
This initiative continues throughout the year with the intention of growing it into a portal for promotion and information about AI resources in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region.
