Guidelines for abstract review and acceptance

The chair and co-chairs are responsible for the first review and the rejection of abstracts that do not fulfill basic criteria related to quality, context, and [self] plagiarism. The chair or co-chairs will notify the authors of the abstract rejection. The chair and co-chair will have to finalize this step by March 29, 2026.

Abstracts that are accepted (abstracts that fulfill scientific/scholarly criteria) by the chair and co-chairs must be then converted from .pdf format to .doc format respecting the following structure:

1. Title

2. List of all authors with affiliation

3. Body of the abstract with separated paragraphs of different sections (e.g., introduction, aim, method, results, and conclusion; or objective, topic review, and conclusion)

4. List of keywords

If any of the above-mentioned parts are missing or erroneous, the CHAIR AND CO-CHAIR should contact the authors, return them the abstract in .doc format, and ask them to correct the errors. Authors should do this in the following 2 weeks and return the corrected format to the chair and co-chair.

Corrected and finalized abstracts in .doc format, chairs should compress them in .ZIP format and send them to the medical section review committee on the ([email protected]), by April 6, 2026.

The review committee will evaluate all abstracts based on technical criteria propagated on the web page and send feedback to the chair and co-chairs if a second revision is needed.

The due date for authors to make second revisions and send abstracts back to the review committee will be April 15, 2026.

After the revision of the abstracts submitted, each author will be notified of the abstract acceptance. For authors who opted for E-poster submission, instructions are as follows, but please bear in mind that even if you apply for E-poster YOU STILL HAVE TO SUBMIT THE ABSTRACT JUST CHOOSE POSTER PRESENTATION option.

For E-poster, the format will be PORTRAIT, ratio 9:16, PDF file.

You can download a PPTX template file from here, Days of BHAAAS -E-poster-template-instructions-9×16, or you can create your own. Authors who opted for Eposter and received confirmation on the abstract acceptance will be informed of further instructions for Eposter upload.

The chair and co-chairs are encouraged to strengthen abstract publication criteria to focus on quality, originality, and scholarly value. The medical section review committee will be dedicated to maintaining these criteria.
