The rapid digitalization of society has created unprecedented opportunities but also new challenges for criminal law. From cybercrimes such as hacking, identity theft, and cyberstalking to the implications of artificial intelligence in criminal justice systems, the digital space is continuously reshaping the boundaries of criminal behavior and law enforcement. This one-day symposium will serve as a platform for discussing how criminal law is adapting to these changes and the intersection of technology and law.
Symposium Objectives:
- Examine the compatibility of national and international legal frameworks with emerging technologies.
- Analyze legislative, procedural, and ethical challenges posed by cybercrime.
- Encourage collaboration between academia, legal practitioners, and policymakers in addressing legal and technological advancements.
- Present case studies and analyses of recent legal reforms related to crime in the digital space.
- Explore the impact of digital evidence, privacy concerns, and human rights in prosecuting cybercrime.
