Our Mission

Our Mission

The program serves as a platform for the development and publication of scientific research, focusing on sustainable development through an interdisciplinary approach. This effort is particularly important for the Western Balkans, as the program leads the way in advancing sustainability science and practice. 

In collaboration with the renowned global publishing house Springer, the program publishes works in the series "Interdisciplinary Advances in Sustainable Development." This series highlights cutting-edge research across multiple disciplines, showcasing innovative approaches and solutions to sustainable development challenges worldwide. 

The program also organizes the annual Sustainable Urban Development Symposium, which brings together professionals from various sectors—such as architecture, urbanism, civil engineering, the energy sector, business, and economics, heritage and preservation— to discuss the future of cities and the role of sustainability in urban planning and development.
