The Third Hepatological Symposium was held as part of the 17th Day of BHAAAS dedicated to contemporary challenges in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular liver diseases, portal vein thrombosis, indications for the TIPS procedure and liver transplantation, topics that are increasingly important in modern hepatology.
The symposium was chaired by Assoc. Dr. Amila Mehmedović, head of the Department of Clinical Hepatology at the Clinic for Gastroenterohepatology KCUS.
Prominent international experts participated in the program: prof. Pierre-Emmanuel Rautou from France, prof. Tajana Filipec Kanižaj from Croatia, Dr. Elena Curakova Ristovska from North Macedonia, Dr. Ademir Turšić from Germany and Dr. Jan Drnovšek from Slovenia, who presented the latest achievements and clinical practices in the field of hepatology through professional lectures.
