Asim Haračić, MD spoke about PTSD on FACE TV

Asim Haračić, MD psychiatrist, clinical director of the psychiatry department at Providence Hospital, Washington, DC, member of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Academy of Sciences and Arts, recently appeared as a guest on Bosanski vestnik on FACE TV and talked about the ever-current topic of PTSD.

dr. Haračić currently works as the Clinical Director of Providence Psychiatric Hospital in Washington DC, and works as a teacher and supervisor at the psychiatry residency program of Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Washington DC.

He came to America in 1996. During the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina (1992-1995), he worked as a resident at the Clinic for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as a doctor in the 105th Motorized Brigade. After the war experience and work on physical war traumas, he decided to specialize in psychiatry with a special interest in the treatment of psychological traumas.

dr. Haračić is an active member of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Academy of Sciences and Arts (BHAAAS), within which the educational web platform Znanjem do zdravlje operates.
