At the symposium on breast cancer, which was led by the recognized oncological surgeon and world-renowned breast cancer specialist Lejla Hadžikadić Gušić, new findings in the aforementioned areas and applied methods in working with patients were discussed. "At the symposium, two main thematic areas such as multidisciplinary discussion and the latest guidelines in oncology for breast cancer stood out. I heard very good lectures and met great colleagues from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I hope that this conference will contribute to their future work because I am convinced that Bosnia and Herzegovina has excellent doctors, but they lack a better system so that their expertise can be used even better," said Lejla Hadžikadić Gušić. She added that "in addition to the exchange of experiences and knowledge, this symposium opened new channels of discussion and encouraged mutual cooperation with the aim of improving the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer in Bosnia and Herzegovina." The Symposium on Surgery and Neurosurgery was led by respected experts Ibrahim Omerhodžić (Sarajevo, BiH/BHAAAS), and Kenan Arnautović (Memphis, USA/BHAAAS), and was intended for neurosurgeons and spinal surgeons, as well as other experts in related specialties. The international symposium on cardiovascular surgery was led by Muhamed Djedović (Sarajevo, BiH/BHAAAS), Emir Mujanović (Tuzla, BiH), Mensur Šunje (Chicago, IL), Melida Hasanagić (Mostar, BiH/BHAAAS), and Eldina Nizamić Vajzović (Bellevue, WA/BHAAAS). "Psychiatry and psychology are topics that are represented at all days of BHAAAS, and almost every year I am amazed by the knowledge that psychiatrists have in BiH; however, the practical part is something that is missing. Therefore, we try to convey to them practical experiences from the USA", said Boškailo. "Great interest was attracted by the topic of the danger of using the Internet for children. On this occasion, I would like to advise parents: do not forbid children from using the Internet; just be more careful about what and how much they watch on the Internet. If a child uses the computer for an hour, let him spend the same amount of time on the playground with other children," he added. Saturday was also the day of plastic surgery, so surgeon Mahira Tanović (New York, NY/BHAAAS) gave a lecture at the conference. The topic was hand surgery. (https://www.radiosarajevo.ba)
