Molecular biologist Ljiljana Đukanović from Lisbon clarified the nature of the Covid-19 virus for RTV7

From the very beginning, the Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Academy of Arts and Sciences has been actively involved in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, mobilizing all experts who can help in suppressing the Coronavirus pandemic. A member of the mentioned academy, molecular biologist Dr. Ljiljana Đukanović, in cooperation with her colleagues, designed and launched a series of short educational videos, "60 seconds about Corona."

By the way, Ljiljana Đukanović was born in Sarajevo, where she completed elementary school and three grades of the first high school. In 2002, he went to the United States of America, where he finished high school and enrolled in college. In 2008, he graduated from Bard College with a double major in biology and art history, after which he worked as an assistant at Rockefeller University in New York. In 2009, he enrolled as a doctor at the Spanish National Institute for Cancer Research in Madrid. In the period 2014-2016, she worked as a consultant for a pharmaceutical company, and since 2016 she has been working for a Swiss biotechnology company as a research project manager. He currently lives in Lisbon and travels to the laboratory in Lausanne for work.

Her experience and expertise are worth mentioning, especially in this period when we are fighting the Coronavirus pandemic. Today, she set aside her time for RTV7 and spoke to us via Skype from Lisbon, where she is currently involved in the production of tests for the Coronavirus. She explained to us what this virus is like, how safe the tests are, and what we can expect from the drugs and vaccines that are being worked on around the world...
