The Sarajevo Philharmonic delighted the Tuzla audience

Denis Azabagić, Eugenija Moliner and Diane Wittry were guests.

On Friday, October 22, a concert by the Sarajevo Philharmonic was held in the Concert Hall of the Bosnian Cultural Center in Tuzla. Denis Azabagić-guitar, Eugenija Moliner-flute, and Diane Wittry-conductor were guests at the long-awaited concert in Tuzla, for which there was great interest. The program for the Tuzla audience was prepared by J. Rodrigo: Concerto de Aranjuez for guitar and orchestra; F. Borne: Carmen Fantasia for flute and orchestra; and A. Thomas: Concerto for flute and guitar. The Sarajevo Philharmonic concert was held on the occasion of the "Day of Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Science and Art BHAAAS." At the age of twenty, Denis Azabagić from Tuzla became the youngest winner of one of the most prestigious international guitar competitions, "Jacinto e Inocencio Guerrero" in Madrid. After the distinguished Spanish composer Anton Garcia Abril heard him, he said that Azabagić would eventually become one of the greatest guitarists in the world. Listening to his performances tonight, we are sure that he has already become that. According to Denis Azapagić, the audience could enjoy an attractive program with famous melodies that have been performed around the world for decades. His repertoire includes solo and orchestral music from the Baroque era to the present day. He is also an active member of the Cavatino duo, whose chamber music repertoire is extremely large, including many works written exclusively for this duo. Eugenia Moliner, the wife of Denis Azabagić, collaborated with numerous ensembles and orchestras in Europe and America. Her discography includes four CDs, for which she received great reviews from many world magazines. Diane Wittry made an extremely large contribution to the development of an extensive educational program and advocated the promotion of innovative programming styles for concerts of all kinds. BHAAAS is an organization of academic character, founded in November 2007 in the USA. It gathers prominent experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, of origin in the USA and Canada, whose main goal is to help Bosnia and Herzegovina with their knowledge. The president of the Academy, which currently has 131 members, is the celebrated BiH writer Aleksandar Hemon. Although it was recently founded, the Academy has already achieved significant projects of cooperation and transfer of knowledge from the diaspora in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Human Rights announced.
