The Third International Symposium on Infectious Diseases brought together domestic and international experts at the 17th BHAAAS Days with the aim of exchanging the latest knowledge and experience in the field of infectology.
Through professional lectures and discussions, the topics of acute infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, new and emerging zoonoses, HIV and hepatitis, as well as contemporary challenges and approaches in their diagnosis, treatment and prevention were covered.
The symposium was led by prof. Dr. Rusmir Baljić, MD, PhD and Dr. Meliha Hadžović Čengić, MD, MSc, from the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo.
