The Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) is organizing a major scientific event called "BHAAAS Days in Bosnia and Herzegovina" this year. Thus, one of the largest and most important organizations of the academic diaspora of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from June 23 to 26 in Sarajevo, will host big names from various scientific disciplines at "13. Days of BHAAAS in BiH.".
For this occasion, more than thirty symposia have been prepared in the fields of medicine, technological and natural sciences, art, sustainable development, and social sciences, at which about 300 distinguished doctors of science, doctors, distinguished scientists, academic workers, and artists will lecture in front of hundreds of registered participants. from twenty countries.

Since its establishment, BHAAAS has been bringing top experts to our country, many of whom are of BiH origin and who work at prestigious institutions in America, Canada, and beyond. "Days of BHAAAS in Bosnia and Herzegovina" offers them the opportunity to share their knowledge and expertise with colleagues and students in their home country. BHAAAS has prepared a separate program for students and will send a special invitation to young researchers to participate in this event. It will be a unique opportunity for students to learn about the latest trends in science, technology, and medicine and to meet some of the leaders of the world's academic community.
In addition to the student program, special attention was paid to the sustainability program, which will include four symposia with various accompanying events such as round tables, workshops, and plenary lectures. The organizers note a great interest in this part of the program from institutions and organizations.
"We were convinced of the importance of this scientific event last year when, despite all the organizational challenges caused by the pandemic, we recorded great interest, both from the domestic professional public, students, and the media. This year we started the organization earlier, and I can announce that the 13th BHAAAS Days in Bosnia and Herzegovina will offer us a top scientific program. All scientific disciplines are covered, from medicine, technical and social sciences, to art. We are preparing a rich program in the field of culture, intended for students, which we are putting a special emphasis on in the organization this year as well. I am very much looking forward to June 23, as are all my colleagues," said the president of BHAAAS, prof. Ph.D. Ismar Volić.
By the way, BHAAAS directly donated over 200,000 KM through various support projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and through its activities (especially in the field of medicine), it helped institutions and individuals in the homeland. In the period from its establishment until today, BHAAAS has signed memoranda of cooperation with 14 institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region, and the USA. In the period from 2009 to 2020, BHAAAS published reference publishing houses and journals over 350 original scientific works and dozens of medical abstracts. Dozens of cultural events were organized in the USA and Bosnia and Herzegovina, of which 17 were festive concerts, art exhibitions, theater performances, etc.
Through various student support programs, they helped educate a large number of young people, and through the International Cultural Exchange Program for Classical Musicians, over 30 young musicians from the USA went through education at the Sarajevo Philharmonic.
Today, BHAAAS has over 250 members, of which 60% are from the USA, and the rest come from Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries around the world.
