8th Days of BHAAAS: 8th Days of BHAAAS: Knowledge is a Sharable Wealth

Those who were born in BiH but live and work in America have not forgotten the country where they come from and are trying to contribute to the improvement of the situation in BiH in various ways. This is demonstrated by the Days of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Academy for Science and Art.

It is the largest international scientific meeting in BiH, which brings together top lecturers from all over the world. With a clear message—knowledge is shareable wealth. Although far from his hometown, Professor Esad Boskailo, one of the most respected representatives of the BiH intellectual scene in the USA, did not cut ties with his motherland, which he helps the most through the Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Academy for Science and Art. "We transfer the knowledge that was acquired there over the years of hard work, and we offer it for free to our colleagues throughout the region so that we will all be better off because knowledge is of no use. If it is not shared, then it is not knowledge," said Esad Boškailo, professor of psychiatry at the University of Arizona. This year, he is a participant in the eighth international conference together with 260 top lecturers from the fields of medical, technical, social sciences, and arts. Over 1,000 participants gathered to get to know each other, exchange opinions, and launch new initiatives and joint projects. "We offer 260 lecturers who will teach in 14 symposia and share the knowledge and training we have acquired in the USA, which is probably the leader in the world in the fields of medicine and technology in particular," said Azra Terzić, president of BHAAAS. The potential of this academy is great and is proven by the fact that they gather top experts from all over the world who come from the world's most prestigious university centers, clinics, and academic institutions. "We are devoting one whole day to breast cancer diseases and approaches to malignant breast patients, which represent a major problem at the world level, and we noticed that there is no uniform approach to breast cancer treatment in Bosnia and Herzegovina," said Gordan Srkalović, a specialist in oncology and blood diseases. MORE DETAILS ON PORTAL N1
