The world-renowned writer, Sarajlija Aleksandar Hemon, is the winner of the main prize of the PEN Center of the United States of America for a literary work. Hemon received this prestigious award for his oral history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. refugees, "How Did You Get Here?: Tales of Displacement." Hemon's novels and novellas, which he writes in English and in his native language, have been recognized in the most relevant literary circles in the world, and this recognition is another confirmation of the talent of the native of Sarajevo.
