As part of the mentoring program of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS), a lecture by Dr. Ajla Akšamija, a renowned expert in the fields of architecture, sustainable design, and construction technologies, will be held. The lecture, titled "Innovations in Architecture: Design, Methods, and Technologies for Innovative Practices," will take place on December 9, 2024, at 3:30 PM in the main auditorium of the Faculty of Architecture in Banja Luka. This event is part of the USAID project Diaspora Invest.
“The lecture by Dr. Ajla Akšamija will provide a unique opportunity to learn about new technologies and design methods, including concrete examples of sustainable approaches and advanced techniques enabling high building performance. Dr. Ajla Akšamija is a professor at the School of Architecture at the University of Utah and holds the prestigious title of Distinguished Chair for Resilient Places. She possesses extensive experience in sustainable design, innovative construction technologies, and digital design methods. Her work encompasses research on building performance analysis, integration of new materials in architecture, and collaboration with experts in civil engineering, materials science, and computational design, contributing to advancements in contemporary architectural practices.
