Through the participation of BHAAAS members as mentors to companies in BiH, BHAAAS is a partner of USAID on the Diaspora Invest 2 project. With the aim of networking organizations with a close mission of activating the potential of the diaspora for the benefit of BiH society, a meeting of the DiaLab Social Impact Network was held in Sarajevo, organizations in BiH and the world that connect the Bosnian business community in the diaspora, in which Lejla Tahirović, project manager of BHAAAS, also participated.
During the meeting, it was confirmed that the potential of the diaspora originating from Bosnia and Herzegovina should be focused on the elements of knowledge transfer (mentoring), support in opportunities to export our services and products (market access), advocacy of direct investments and transfer of good practices that will improve local communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In addition to BHAAAS, other local partners joined the project: BIT Alliance, ABSL, Association for Internet Trade e-Comm in BiH, INTERA Technology Park, ICBL, Tershouse and Academy387. BH Futures Foundation, i-diaspora, Inclusive Movement for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Association for Progress in Science and Technology (ANNT), APU Network, Linnovate Foundation, BHUF, Foundation for Innovation, Technology and Knowledge Transfer (FITT) were invited to the DiaLab network., the Association of Majevičani in Switzerland, the Australian-Bosnian-Herzegovinian Chamber of Commerce (ABHCC), the British-Bosnian-Herzegovinian Chamber of Commerce (BBHCC), the Bosnian Integration Forum and the American Chamber of Commerce in BiH.
