October is the month dedicated to raising public awareness about breast cancer. On this occasion, respected members of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Lejla Hadžikadić-Gušić and Dr. Mahira Tanović, were guests on Face TV in the Central Diary of Senad Hadžifejzović. They talked about the prevention and early detection of this vicious disease when there is a high possibility of cure and about the importance of reconstructive surgery for breast cancer patients. They also discussed the "First guidelines in the treatment of breast cancer in FBiH," a very important document that will greatly help in the treatment of breast cancer, which was created by Lejla Hadžikadić-Gušić and her expert team. The guidelines were published in the prestigious journal 'Bosnian Journal of Basic Medical Science' (BJBMS).
