The Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) announces the 15th BHAAAS Days, which will be held from June 20 to 23, 2024 in Sarajevo.
"These Days represent a combination of knowledge and creativity that connects experts from different fields," said Eldina Nizamić, president of BHAAAS. She emphasized that this event provides an opportunity for the exchange of ideas and experiences between the diaspora and local experts.
Interdisciplinary exchange of ideas
Within the framework of BHAAAS, the departments of Medicine and Health, Technical and Natural Sciences, and Humanities and Social Sciences and Arts are successfully operating, whose work will be presented at the conference through 25 symposia, hundreds of presentations and lectures along with a special three-day program of sustainable urban development. The conference program will be enriched with a program intended for students, artistic and cultural performances and special events. These contents of the jubilee conference will be held in the premises of Hotel HIlls, General Hospital Dr. Abdulah Nakaš, the ASA Institute, the Armed Forces of BiH Hall, the BiH Historical Museum, the Second Gymnasium Sarajevo and the Manifesto Gallery.
Networking with colleagues
One of the key aspects of the BHAAAS Day is the active participation of the diaspora. This event is a platform for connecting experts from BiH and those from the diaspora, enabling them to share their experiences and innovations acquired abroad. Cooperation in education between domestic and foreign experts contributes to the improvement of practice in various fields, which encourages the progress of education, science and art in our country.
Special focus on students
Students are the heart of the future scientific community. Special symposia, lectures and workshops have been prepared for them. Days of BHAAAS want students to be equal members of the academic community, and the best among them will have the opportunity to win prestigious awards. Thus, the students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo are the authors of this year's visual identity of the conference.
Art and science
The official opening of the 15th Day of BHAAAS will be held on June 21, in the ceremonial hall of the BiH Army House, with the presence of numerous dignitaries.
