The Aspasia Phoutrides Pulakis Award is given annually to an individual who has contributed significantly to a Northwest ethnic community. Mary Sherhart received an award this year. It is the first time the University of Washington is hosting the conference - 18th Biennial Conference on Balkan and South Slavic Linguistics, Literature, Folklore. Mary Sherhart was delighted to be presenting on Saturday, March 31, 2012.
