Medical experts from BHAAAS are participating in the Second Congress of Bosnian Doctors in Germany

Prominent medical experts and members of the Bosnian Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) will participate in the 2nd Congress of Bosnian Doctors in Germany, which will be held on June 14, 2025 in Berlin.

Among them are:

- prof. Dr. Adnan Begović, president of BHAAAS and anesthesiologist from the University of San Diego

- prof. Dr. Ognjen Gajić, professor at Mayo Clinic Rochester in the USA, specialist in critical care

- Dr. Mirza Pojskić, neurosurgery specialist from the University Clinic in Marburg (Germany)

- Dr. Nina Jovanović, specialist in ophthalmology, oculoplastic and reconstructive surgeon from the Eye Institute Zagreb

- Dr. Igor Knezović, specialist in ophthalmology, from the Eye Institute Knezović

- Dr. Emina Vukas, pediatrician specialist from KCU Sarajevo

- Dr. Sci. Anisa Gradaščević, specialist in internal and forensic medicine

The organizer of the second Congress of BiH doctors and medical experts is BHAG ((Bosnia-Herzegovina Medical Chamber in Germany) with which representatives of BHAAAS, during the 15th BHAAAS Days Conference) signed cooperation in the areas of exchange of knowledge and methods through exchange programs students and doctors (internships, scholarships, clinical practice) in German clinics, with the mentorship of doctors of Bosnian origin.

Collaboration between BHAAAS and BHAG

This congress is not only an opportunity for professional training, but also a platform for continuing the strong cooperation between BHAAAS and BHAG in order to improve health care in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Within the framework of cooperation, programs for the exchange of knowledge and methods were signed through various initiatives, including:

- Exchange of students and doctors - internships, scholarships and clinical practice in German clinics, with the mentorship of doctors of Bosnian origin

- Development of medical departments in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in the field of neurosurgery and modern spinal procedures, through mentoring and training of young doctors

One of the joint projects includes the further development of spinal procedures at the Department of Neurosurgery in KBC Sarajevo, with the aim of improving health care and improving the work of operating rooms in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Both organizations, BHAAAS and BHAG, firmly believe that the success of this mission is possible only through strong cooperation with medical workers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will enable better access to health care for all citizens.

BHAAAS and BHAG continue to work together to present science and knowledge in the best possible light, with the ultimate goal of improving the health of people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
