National treasure of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The youngest BH. basketball players are the national treasure of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Academy of Sciences and Arts (BHAAS) heartily congratulates the Cadet National Team of Bosnia and Herzegovina on winning the title of European Champion. Looking at our young men, we are now even more confident in our conviction that human potential is the greatest national treasure of Bosnia and Herzegovina. - With our best wishes, from America, we join the numerous Bosnians and Herzegovinians in their homeland and the diaspora, all over the world, who are sharing indescribable joy at this moment, not only because of the great sport's title, which our boys won in Lithuania but also because this gold, apart from the title, carries with it a noble message of unity—greater than ordinary sports solidarity. In the days when Bosnia, on the media stage, is still mostly talked about as a post-conflict society with all its political, social, and economic consequences, the success of this, one of the youngest BiH national teams, breaks prejudices and demolishes stereotypes. This is proof that the serious work of athletes with the adequate leadership of sports experts, unencumbered by political everyday life in Bosnia and Herzegovina, brings valuable results that come out of the domain of sports. Our young men studied and learned how to defend the colors of the national team better than many politicians who still live for Bosnia and Herzegovina, not for it. That is why the youngest BiH basketball players are already true leaders of their country. Inspiration for Bosnia and Herzegovina. The majority  - On a broader level, this title is an inspiration for the majority of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its numerous diaspora, which the rulers, even in the daily political fights, still do not succeed in thwarting that everyone loves, defend, and compete for the good of BiH and not the other way around—the message says BHAAAS. "Let's support our champions wholeheartedly, but also institutionally—with all the means necessary for their work and the continuation of the competition, or help them with messages of gratitude, encouragement, and understanding. This is the only way we support the future of the coming generations, who want to compete on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the humanistic and Olympic spirit, in the European and world environment,"  said Dr. Esad Boškailo, president of BHAAAS. - Do not diminish their triumph, nor the triumph of all the citizens of BiH whose sons, relatives, friends, and neighbors won a new title again, because it is, in the end, a success that belongs to all of us as a stake for better days, added Dr. Boskailo. "Only knowledge, quality, honesty, and ethics, as well as skill and speed in competitions with equal opportunities for all—in which only the best win, without nepotism, party bias, and regardless of national and political affiliation—can help BiH to consolidate as a successful and free country. The cadet national team of BiH in basketball is a very clear image in the mirror of that—the new Bosnia and Herzegovina, which we all sincerely want. Their magnificent welcome, with over 50,000 people in Sarajevo, only confirms that desire." The motto of the day: On this occasion, we invite all those responsible, in the authorities and other authorities in BiH institutions, and socially responsible individuals in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the diaspora, to do everything so that these and all future Bosnian champions could wear BiH a banner of success, the BHAAAS said in a written message. Finally, some words from the coach of this BH. of Josip Pandža's national team—"These children succeeded because they respected each"other"—became the Bosnian motto of the day: In the days of this great victory, let's respect each other so that the world will respect us," reads the press release from the Department of Public Relations of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina sent from New York.
