After the official opening ceremony of the meeting, where the Minister for Human Rights and Refugees Semiha Borovac, member of the Board of Directors of BHAAAS, addressed the attendees, Prof. Nirvana Pištoljević, president of BHAAAS Azra Terzic, and director of USAID for Bosnia and Herzegovina Peter Duffy spoke about the need to stop transgenerational violence. Dawn Noggle (Phoenix, USA). The first international symposia in the field of modern technologies (IAT) and medicine were held in the working part. The first part of the International Symposium on Innovative and Interdisciplinary Applications of Modern Technologies (IAT) began with thematic areas: 1. complex systems and biomedical engineering; 2. electric power systems; 3. telecommunications; and 4. mechanical engineering. 5. Civil engineering 6. Computer science 7. Student works. The symposium is intended for scientists, engineers, and students from the above-mentioned scientific fields. Symposium leader: Mirsad Hadžikadić (Charlotte, USA/BHAAAS), Samir Avdaković (Sarajevo, BiH/BHAAAS). International Symposium on Family Medicine: A one-day symposium on family medicine and related fields, with an emphasis on modern knowledge in the mentioned fields and applied methods in working with patients. The symposium is intended for all doctors, specialist doctors, medical students, students of the Faculty of Health Studies, nurses/technicians, and other health workers with an interest in primary health care and related fields. Symposium leaders: Melida Hasanagić (Mostar, BiH) and Andi Arnautović (Chicago, USA/BHAAAS).
As part of the family medicine symposium, the following sessions were held: - Chronic non-communicable diseases in the family medicine clinic, session leader: Boris Pejić; - Public health problems, session leader: Assoc. Zarema Obradović; - Osteoporosis, session leader: Amra Osmancevic and Dijana Avdić; - Emergencies in family medicine, session leader: Milka Mirnić. The first part of the International Symposium in the field of early growth and development/pediatrics Symposium leader: Nirvana Pištoljević (New York, USA/BHAAAS), Selena Bajraktarević (UNICEF, BiH). Transdisciplinary symposium with topics relevant to the field "One health, one"medicine"—Symposium leader: Azra Blažević (Saint Louis, USA/BHAAAS). At the end of the program on the first day of the meeting, a great concert by the American members of the Sarajevo Philharmonic (Jessica Goldbaum, Erin Morse, Carrie Rexroat, Magdalene Rickard, and Catherine Schule) was held in the big hall of Hotel "Sunce." This activity was realized as part of the Program of International Exchange of Classical Musicians, which is run by BHAAAS and the Sarajevo Philharmonic.
