Thus, Ismar Volić, professor of mathematics at Wellesley College in Boston, led a symposium on applied mathematics, cryptography, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) of education. Academician Dejan Milošević, full professor of theoretical physics at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Sarajevo, spoke about the latest research in atoscience, while Mirsad Hadžikadić, a professor at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte, lectured on the topic of system complexity. The symposium on standardization and implementation of standards and related fields with an emphasis on modern knowledge in the aforementioned fields was led by Tatjana Vidović and Dragan Ćućilo, while Tarik Uzunović, Asif Šabanović, and Jasmin Kevrić were in charge of the symposium on mechatronics, robotics, and embedded systems.
