Open "10th Days of BHAAAS in BiH"

The first day of the conference was dedicated to technical and natural sciences, as well as diagnostics and detection in early growth and development. BHAAAS President Nirvana Pištoljević, BiH Deputy Minister for Human Rights and Refugees Predrag Jović, and Director of the USAID mission in BiH Peter Duffy officially opened the 10th Days of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) in Jahorina this morning. Thus, in four days, 27 symposia, many round tables, and panel discussions with 375 lecturers and over 1000 participants from 24 countries will be held in Hotel Termag. The first day of the conference was dedicated to technical and natural sciences, as well as diagnostics and detection in early growth and development. Thus, Ismar Volić, professor of mathematics at Wellesley College in Boston, led a symposium on applied mathematics, cryptography, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) of education. Academician Dejan Milošević, full professor of theoretical physics at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Sarajevo, spoke about the latest research in atoscience, while Mirsad Hadžikadić, a professor at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte, lectured on the topic of system complexity. The symposium on standardization and implementation of standards and related fields with an emphasis on modern knowledge in the aforementioned fields was led by Tatjana Vidović and Dragan Ćućilo, while Tarik Uzunović, Asif Šabanović, and Jasmin Kevrić were in charge of the symposium on mechatronics, robotics, and embedded systems. The first day of the transdisciplinary symposium in the field of early growth, development, and early learning of the child, including pediatrics, child psychiatry and psychology, pedagogy, and related fields, led by Nirvana Pištoljević, which was sponsored by USAID, attracted great attention from the profession. The program of the first day of the 10th BHAAAS included the International Symposium on Electric Machines and Electric Motor Drives, led by Nerdina Mehinović, and the Symposium on Advanced Power Systems (Planning, Operation, and Control), led by Samir Avdaković, Amir Nuhanović, Maja Muftić Dedović, and Nedis Dautbašić. Suada Džebo, Mirza Pozder, Nikolina Mijić, Sanjin Albinović, Žanesa Ljevo and Ammar Šarić were in charge of the symposium on construction, while Mirsad Hadžikadić, Belma Ramić-Brkić, and Džejla Međedović led the symposium on information and communication technologies. led by Aljo Mujčić and Edin Mujčić. This year's BHAAAS Day program is enriched with many cultural events, so the first day is reserved for a concert by the Sarajevo Philharmonic. "The main goal of the BHAAAS Day is to unite the diaspora and Bosnia and Herzegovina through science, art, and culture, and we have definitely achieved that mission. In four days, we will hold 27 symposia, round tables, and panel discussions. Lectures will be given by 375 experts, who will be listened to by over 1,000 participants from 24 countries around the world. The Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees are our partners in the organization of the entire days, and I want to thank them for their selfless support this year as well. I am especially proud of the 10th BHAAAS Days gatherings, but today we can proudly say that, with all this cultural program, the signing of an agreement on cooperation with Chamber Theater 55, multi-year cooperation with the Sarajevo Philharmonic, the National Museum in Sarajevo, the international festival of high school theater Juventafest, and the organization of exhibitions, we are opening a new chapter for BHAAAS," said Nirvana Pištoljević, president of BHAAAS. Peter Duffy, director of the USAID mission in BiH, points out that currently 300,000 BH. of citizens live and work in the USA. "Most of these people work hard and are very successful in many industries in my country, and almost all of these people have a special place in their hearts for their homeland, BiH. That is why USAID supports BHAAAS and their mission that connects the greatest experts from the diaspora with their home country. "When you look at the agenda of this conference, you will see that it is very extensive, with complex professional topics and concrete things that can help BiH. That's why USAID will continue to support projects like the BHAAAS Day," said Peter Duffy. Predrag Jović, advisor to the Minister for Human Rights and Refugees of BiH, noted that the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH has been following BHAAAS from the very beginning and that they are very proud to be part of this project. "The Ten Days of BHAAAS will gather eminent experts from almost all industries where they will exchange their knowledge and experiences. Events like the Days of BHAAAS are very important and useful for our country because they connect our best experts from the diaspora with experts and institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina; therefore, the Ministry of Human Rights and refugees in Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to support this project," Jović pointed out.

10th Days of BHAAAS:

This year, the Ten Days of BHAAAS will be held from June 21 to 24 at the Termag Hotel in Jahorina. It is expected that this will be one of the largest scientific meetings in the Balkans, which will attract over a thousand participants, including hundreds of lecturers in twenty-seven symposia from medicine and technical, natural, social, and human sciences. A rich cultural content will be accompanied by a scientific program that includes the exhibition Safeta Zeca, a concert by the Sarajevo Philharmonic, and the exhibition "Memory of a Stone," organized in cooperation between BHAAAS and the National Museum in Sarajevo. With many experts from America and Europe confirmed to attend, the 10th Days of BHAAAS will attract a large number of doctors, professionals, academics, and artists from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
