Signed Memorandum of Cooperation

BiH Minister for Human Rights and Refugees Semiha Borovac and President of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) Dušica Babović-Vuksanović signed a Memorandum of Cooperation today, which defines cooperation and joint promotion of the participation of BHAAAS representatives, as well as the entire scientific diaspora of BiH in development and other key programs, projects, and processes in BiH, following the recently adopted policy of cooperation with the emigration of BiH. Minister Borovac said that by signing this memorandum, they practically ensure the realization of one of the key tasks from the policy of cooperation with emigration, which is cooperation with the scientific diaspora, whose contribution is immeasurable in the development of BiH. She expressed her satisfaction that this memorandum is being signed with the Academy, whose results so far are highly valued and which is the largest and most important organization of the B&H academic diaspora in the world in terms of numbers, membership profile, and conducted activities. We are proud that the Academy gathers around 320 distinguished doctors of science, professionals in various fields, and artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina. of origin who live in North America but also in Western Europe," said the minister. With this memorandum, the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees is placed in the role of mediator between institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina at all levels of government and our scientific diaspora to exchange information, experiences, and support in the transfer of knowledge. We consider you an inseparable part of Bosnia and Herzegovina's society and the best ambassadors of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the world," she pointed out. The president of BHAAAS, Dušica Babović-Vuksanović, said that the signed memorandum is only a formalization of the already established cooperation and great assistance of the Ministry and Minister Borovac. Our organization is based on volunteers. We are all professionals trying to give back to our home country something we got from it. We can never fully repay for everything we got from this country that we took with us, because we got more than we can ever give back through our work and this kind of cooperation," emphasized Babović-Vuksanović.
