Today, the world celebrates World Health Day, and we use this opportunity to highlight the new agreement signed between the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), in cooperation with the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) and the Association of Family Medicine Physicians of FBiH and Sarajevo Canton. This agreement allows partners in the field to explore ways they can collaborate to improve health and healthcare in BiH, connecting doctors, clinics, and primary care professionals with their counterparts in the US. The US Embassy recently hosted a workshop in which family doctors, medical staff, and nutritionists from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina participated to familiarize them with the details of this agreement and also to discuss ways to strengthen primary health care in the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
