The 15th anniversary Days of BHAAAS brought a large number of extraordinary scientific and artistic events this year, and encouraged new collaborations between domestic and foreign experts with the aim of advancing education, science and art in our country. This event is a platform for connecting experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina and those from the diaspora, enabling them to share their experiences and innovations acquired abroad.
"We are very excited and happy that this year's BAHAAAS Days were so well attended, beyond our expectations. We are still collecting impressions and are proud of more than 800 participants - experts, academic citizens from all over the world, at workshops, open forums, round tables with several live broadcasts, and knowledge and experiences of new technologies and practices were shared. The days of BHAAAS are the crowning glory of our work, but now more than ever we are making efforts to remain present in Bosnia and Herzegovina and America all 365 days a year," said Dr. Eldina Nizamić, president of BHAAAS.
Within BHAAAS, the Departments of Medicine and Health, Technical and Natural Sciences, Sustainable Development, and Humanities and Social Sciences and Arts are successfully operating, which presented themselves this year through dozens of symposia, hundreds of presentations and lectures.
Through medical symposia in pulmonology, cardiovascular surgery, anesthesia, CCM and pain medicine, gynecology and obstetrics, dermatology and venereology, radiology, hepatology, and symposia in emergency medicine, neurology, mental health of children and adolescents, and pediatrics, numerous topics were discussed that they can improve diagnostics, therapy and health care of patients. Through interdisciplinary discussions, innovative practices and the latest research were highlighted, providing experts with a platform for exchanging ideas and improving the quality of health care in all the mentioned specializations.
Symposia of natural and technical sciences presented high standards and a multidisciplinary approach through six Symposia in the fields of electrical engineering, informatics, construction and mechanical engineering. And the papers presented at these Symposia will be published in the proceedings of the prestigious Springer publishing house.
The Sustainable Development Program within the BHAAAS Days, once again this year brought together outstanding experts from around the world to share innovative ideas and strategies for a sustainable future. This year, the presence of the architectural community with significant research works, all aimed at contributing to the creation of sustainable and prosperous communities and cities, was particularly notable.
At this year's conference, the participation of medical students was noted, the most successful of which were awarded cash prizes, and the program was additionally enriched with artistic and cultural performances and special events held at seven locations in Sarajevo.
BHAAAS is an academy that actively cooperates with numerous higher education institutions, health care institutions and non-governmental organizations, and the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees sponsored the Days of BHAAAS conference again this year. Of particular note is the long-term cooperation with the University of Sarajevo, the Academy of Sciences and Arts of BiH, the BH Futures Foundation and the Mozaik Foundation. This year, the events organized at the Faculty of Philosophy, the Faculty of Political Sciences, the Second Gymnasium, exhibitions at the History Museum and the Manifesto Gallery, as well as lectures and panel discussions at the Abdulah Nakaš General Hospital and the ASA Institute were particularly significant this year.
Conference The BHAAAS Days represent a combination of knowledge and creativity and an opportunity for the exchange of ideas and experiences between the diaspora and local experts in the field, making it an unmissable event for all those interested in the latest achievements and innovations in various fields.
