As part of the Program for the Transfer of Knowledge, Skills, and Experience from the Diaspora to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sarajevo, hosted Prof. Dr. Adnan Begović from November 3–7, 2025.
Prof. Begović is a specialist in internal medicine, pulmonary diseases, and intensive care, serving as Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit at Southwest Hospitals, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine, University of California, San Diego (USA), and the current President of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS).
His engagement focuses on sharing knowledge and experience in the field of emergency pulmonary medicine, with a special emphasis on the recognition and urgent treatment of acute respiratory conditions.
On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Prof. Begović delivered a lecture at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevoon the topic “Emergency Airway Management,” attended by more than 30 physicians.
In the following days, Prof. Begović will continue delivering lectures at the Faculty of Medicine and the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, covering topics in emergency medicine and urgent conditions in pulmonology.
