To bring together the greatest scientists and experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region, and the world, regardless of their address of residence, and enable them to share their knowledge, experience, and expertise with colleagues and students, the Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS), already has been organizing a conference called BHAAAS Days for ten years. 10. Days of BHAAAS: From billionths of a second to cryptography and complexity The conference, which has long been on the calendars of many top experts not only from Bosnia and Herzegovina but also from all over the world, has gained a renowned status as the largest scientific event in the Balkans. Ismar Volić: Distinguished professor of mathematics from Boston, back in Bosnia and Herzegovina This year's 10th BHAAAS Days will be held from June 21 to 24 in Jahorina, and more than a thousand participants are expected to attend, including 300 lecturers in twenty-seven symposia in medicine and technical, natural, social, and humanities. "The main goal of the BHAAAS Day is to unite the diaspora and Bosnia and Herzegovina through science, art, and culture, and we achieved that mission." We have built strong bridges between BiH and North America, as well as with countries in the region, the diaspora, and the whole world. We have become big, and honestly, now it is already difficult to find a city in BiH that would host a gathering of capacities like this one. The conference in Jahorina, I can now proudly announce, will be the largest so far," says Dr. Nirvana Pištoljević, president of BHAAAS, and adds: "We never dreamed that we would grow into the largest scientific, interdisciplinary conference in the Balkans. If we had around 600 to 1000 participants in Neum and Teslić, this year we will have more than 300 lecturers during the + five days of the conference, which means that we will greatly exceed 1000 participants, who come from all parts of the world. BHAAAS Days have become impressive, and we will strive to make each year even better.” In addition to the fact that the BHAAAS Days profiled itself as the largest scientific gathering in the Balkans, this year's program aims to include the conference in one of the largest cultural events in the region.
