Top experts from the world of medicine come to "13th Days of BHAAAS in BiH"

The Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) is organizing a major scientific event called "BHAAAS Days in Bosnia and Herzegovina" this year. Thus, one of the largest and most important organizations of the academic diaspora of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from June 23 to 26 in Sarajevo, will host some of the world's biggest names from various scientific disciplines at "13. Days of BHAAAS in BiH." The medical section will organize 17 different symposia and four special events. Thus, in the field of primary medicine, this year's focus will be on the implementation of the reform as well as on the improvement of the PHC system in BiH. Top experts from the fields of oncology, hematology, and pathology will present lecturers from leading clinics in the USA (Cleveland Clinic, Duke University, Mayo Clinic, and other centers). When it comes to mental health, the "Symposium for the Health of Children and Adolescents" will be held for the first time this year, and it deals with coordinated action directed towards the family and the child, especially in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, the Symposium on Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation will host lecturers and experts from Canada, the UAE, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the region, and a panel discussion is planned where the participants will be from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Paralympians, with Zoom communication with experts in this field from Canada. Within the International Symposium of Neurology, topics include cerebrovascular diseases and demyelinating diseases, and a session for young neurologists with brief case reports is planned. The theme of the dermatovenerology symposium with top lecturers is one of the "hottest" in this branch of medicine, while the pediatric symposium will focus on the topics of COVID-19 in children, autism, and liver disease. Interesting lectures are also announced at ophthalmological symposia. Thus, the first "PHACO Wet Lab" with basic and advanced cataract schools in BiH will be organized from this field of medicine. The trainers and educators of this event are top surgeons of the anterior segment of the eye from BiH and the region. The cardiovascular medicine symposium will present a view of pathology through the prism of fetal, pediatric, and adult cardiology. The International Symposium on Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery will bring together the world's greatest experts in the field of regenerative surgery and post-bariatric surgery, while the Anesthesiology Symposium will offer expert lectures and a practical workshop/course on "Management of complicated airways." As part of the mentioned special events, round tables will be held on the following topics: "Organization of the private medical sector,"  "Public health: on the topic of immigrant health and the crisis in the health system,"  genetic testing, and a round table for medical students." 23. June will be one of the biggest dates for Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and medical science this year.
